New Upper Darby Township Parking System

Who: Upper Darby Township
 What: Transition to a new mobile pay system
 When: May 1, 2025

Starting Thursday, May 1, 2025, the Upper Darby Township Parking Enforcement Department will implement a new parking and permit system: T2 Systems.

The current system, Passport Parking, will remain active through April 2025 but will be deactivated after that.

What to Expect in April 2025

  • New Mobile Pay signs will be placed throughout the township.
  • The payment system will be activated on May 1, 2025.

What You Need to Know

✅ Mobile Pay (Text to Pay) & Patron Portal (Website) are easy to use.
 ➡️ No need for multiple parking apps or websites.
 ➡️ No app download or account creation required.

✅ Kiosks will feature updated decals with QR codes and text codes for T2 Mobile Pay.

✅ How to Pay:

  • Look for mobile pay signs with QR codes or text the zone number to a five-digit number for a payment link.
  • Text to Pay supports multiple languages.
  • Get expiration notifications and extend parking from your phone.
  • Option to save license plate and payment information for future use.
  • Search for additional parking locations.

✅ Payment Options Remain the Same:

  • Text to Pay is an additional payment option.
  • You can still use quarters, cash, credit, or debit cards at meters and kiosks.

New Features Coming May 1, 2025

🚗 Patron Portal Launch

  • Pay for parking tickets online.
  • Report broken meters and kiosks.
  • Purchase parking permits (All permits must be purchased through the Patron Portal starting May 1, 2025).

📞 New Automated Phone System

  • Call to pay for parking tickets over the phone.

🎟 Updated Parking Tickets

  • Tickets will include a QR code, Patron Portal site, and automated phone number for easy payments.

📢 Important Reminder:

  • The Patron Portal and Mobile Pay will NOT be active until May 1, 2025.
  • We appreciate your cooperation as we transition to a more convenient and efficient parking system!
