PRESS RELEASE

The UPPER DARBY TOWNSHIP POLICE DEPARTMENT is launching a police card contest. This contest is open to all youth from elementary school to high school. The first student in each category to collect all of the cards in the campaign will get the assigned prizes:

-Elementary school winner will receive Apple AirPods and “Officer for the Day”

-Middle school winner will receive Apple AirPods and “Officer for the Day”

-High school winner will receive Beats by Dre Wireless Headphones and “Officer for the Day”

The cards can be collected at the following locations:

Police Headquarters, Upper Darby Township Libraries – Municipal, Sellers and Primos, and 

Upper Darby Township One Center

“Officer for the Day” will be rewarded with the following: 

• “Sworn in” by Mayor and pinned with a badge

• Meet with the Superintendent 

• Tour the police station

• Ride (accompanied by a parent/guardian) in a police car

• UDPD merchandise

• Winners will get to practice rolling fingerprints

• Winners will get to practice doing a car stop

• Winners will get to practice doing CPR on a mannequin

• Lunch with Command Staff
