Summer Stage - Upper Darby Kids Go Free!

Great News! -  Upper Darby Township is offering to pay the full tuition to the Summer Stage program for up to 400 students between the ages of 10 to 18 who are residents of Upper Darby Township, regardless of which school they attend. The tuition payments are awarded on a first come, first serve basis and there are no income or academic requirements: simply a strong desire to be an active participant in this award-winning, nationally-recognized program.

For 45 years, Summer Stage has been offering award winning, full day summer theater programs. Upper Darby students from fourth through eleventh grade are encouraged to participate and there are available sessions throughout June, July, and early August. You can learn more at summerstage.udfoundation.org. When you register for the program, all Upper Darby residents will automatically be enrolled in the free tuition program.

The arts are incredibly important and provide numerous opportunities for students to learn and grow. There are not only opportunities for those interested in acting and singing but also opportunities for students interested in the tech and set building side of theater. We hope this program will expand the opportunities for students to participate in Summer Stage. If you or a student has any questions, please do not hesitate to contact my office at mayor@upperdarby.org or reach out to Summer Stage directly through the Upper Darby Arts and Education Foundation at admin@udfoundation.org.
