The Upper Darby Township Department of Police provides services to the residential, business and industrial community contained within its boundaries. At present the residents relying on the Police Department number approximately eighty-two thousand and represent a diverse population.
The Police Department has made a great effort to provide the most modern and effective service to the community that it serves. Innovative measures have been taken and immense successes followed. The Department continually reviews its performance and makes changes when a better way is found to do something. Traditional and the most modern policing occurs in the Township. The goal of the Department is to provide the best possible police service to the residential and business community that it is proud to serve.

Through law enforcement, we will increase public safety thereby reducing the fear and incidence of crime. We will commit to providing high quality services with honor and integrity.

The Police Department also operates three Police Substations at 5100 State Rd, Drexel Hill, PA 19026, 60 S 69th Street, Upper Darby, PA 19082 & 710 Long Lane, Upper Darby, PA 19082.
