About Upper Darby Licenses & Inspections

The Department of Licenses & Inspections is responsible for the administration and enforcement of zoning, subdivision, construction, property maintenance, building and related structural and land use codes, as well as issuing permits and enforcing licensing requirements. Divisions include Code Enforcement, Permit Processing, Animal Control, and Planning & Zoning.

Appointments: to schedule an appointment with Upper Darby Licenses & Inspections please email li@upperdarby.org with your name, company (if applicable), phone number, email address, and the service you are requesting. You will receive a response within three (3) business days to get the appointment scheduled.

Effective April 1, 2022, the Delaware County Health Department, Bureau of Environmental Health, will handle Food Facility Licenses and a variety of permit processes. Please contact the Delaware County Health Department for more information by emailing carbonaram@co.delaware.pa.us or calling 484-276-2100 and asking for the Environmental Health Extension.
